Do you wonder how to talk about race without being offensive? Do you wish racial issues would just go away? Do you ever wonder what it would be like to be a woman of color and a mom? Or are you a woman of color and wonder if your feelings are unique?
In this issue of the Whole Life Podcast, we meet Dr. Dana Griffin, Faculty Professor and Researcher in the School of Education at UNC-Chapel Hill. She and I talk about vulnerabilities that all moms feel, and we also take a deep dive into what it is like to raise children of color today. Dr. Griffin is the mother of a son and daughter and is also a researcher. She speaks authenticity and vulnerability as she provides insight into what it feels like to grapple personally and professionally with the issue of race and parenting with brown shades of skin.
